Enzyme β-glucosidase siêu chịu nhiệt từ cổ khuẩn Pyrococcus furiosus có hoạt tính tối ưu ở 100oC, pH tối ưu 5,0, hoạt tính enzyme 164,44 U.mg-1 cao hơn nhiều so với các loài nấm mốc khác. Với điều kiện tối ưu này, BGLPf là một ứng viên triển vọng trong ứng dụng chuyển đổi isoflavone nói riêng và các hợp chất glycoside nói chung. Bước đầu thử nghiệm hoạt tính đạt hiệu quả chuyển đổi cao trên cơ chất isoflavone đậu nành.
